Come shop with me – February treats

I’m doing a photo shoot tomorrow for a Sunday paper (yip!), so what better excuse did I need to go shopping?

I was on the look-see for “on-trend high street fashion inspired by designer styles” – in other words, my raison d’etre.

First exciting visit was to Vero Moda’s (fairly) new Oxford Street store. You must check it out if you live down here in the Big Smoke. Lots of lovely, lush pieces to choose from. I didn’t actually buy this 70’s inspired shirt dress, but am now asking myself WHY not?? I may go back tomorrow to rectify my mistake. Isn’t it purdy?

Next I wanted to sample a few denim dresses – not 100% sure about this chambray day dress from Zara. Bit of an odd fit – but I like the shiny finish of the material and the scoop neck is kinda cute. It’s also a v well priced.

Now to Miss S, where dreams really do come true at the moment. I love so many things in their SS11 collection and the top and skirt I purchased for the shoot are to die for (more of that later). For now, feast your eyes upon this stupendous dress, which demands to be worn with these boots. It doesn’t seem to be available online, but there are plenty in-store.

Last but by no means least, I just had to try on that jumpsuit. Regular readers might remember I blogged it a while back, and was unsure as to the potential va-va-voomness of the quirky design. Let me assure you, it has the voom-factor – but I have no idea where on earth I could ever wear it. Maybe wandering around in the house with it on would be enough…
