Summer prints

Lounging around on an exotic beach seems pretty far away right now, but we all deserve a bit of fantasy in our lives. And it’s February, so the month of ultimate nastiness is behind us (good riddance January – you suck, mate).

Meet Lalesso – a bright ‘n’ breezy brand with a conscience; it won the Ethical Fashion Forum Innovation award and claims to be a carbon zero company.

Launching on April 1st 2011, the SS11 collection is a heady mix of East African-inspired prints on chic, Kenyan-made summer dresses.

This is my fave look from the collection – and I’m thinking this would be the perfect outfit for early spring in the UK, whatever the weather.

Also keep a look-out for bold beach cover ups, more two-tone designs and cute beach-ready sun dresses.

Now I’m just left to wondering if the turban would be too much poolside in Vegas… (Oh yes, kids – that’s where I’m heading this spring. The world’s biggest H&M? Geddin.)
