Stripes, Irish bars and Vegas shopping

Had my first shopping trip in Vegas this morning. T’was awesome sauce.

I’d interviewed the senior marketing director of the Miracle Mile Shops for eBay and decided to check out the mall for myself. Ooh it’s yummy. Slick, shiny, clean and packed with dream shops. One Ann Taylor Loft skirt and a BCBGMAXAZRIA top later and I am a shopped-out happy bunny.

(I’m wearing the ASOS midi cullotte jumpsuit with Bonprix strappy wedges, thanks for asking.)

Stripes were all over the mall’s fashion retail outlets and it was hard not to go stripe crazy. Loved this dress that I tried on, again in Ann Taylor Loft (I fell totally in love with this brand in NYC and it hasn’t worn off).

Come shop with me…to Vegas

Also loving this striped dress in the window of a shop called Parallel:

And after Miracle Mile I browsed The Shoppes at Mandalay Place, between Mandalay Bay and Luxor. Madly in love with Nora Blue and the subtle stripes on this everyday shirt are happenin’.

And I can’t talk to you about Mandalay Place without mentioning the fact that we reckon we have chosen the venue for our post wedding vow renewal booze-up – the Ri Ra Irish pub. With several different, beautifully-designed areas, a sympathetically-reclaimed interior and the nicest staff you’ll find this side of Dublin, it’s a calm haven serving a mean cottage pie and offering a proper break from the Vegas madness (they also do a top notch Cosmopolitan – it may not be an Irish beverage, but I’m no ale, whiskey or stout drinker, so that’s fine by me!) It opened on St. Paddy’s Day 2011, and is a must-go-to venue for a good nosh up or a big, fat knees up.
