Win a pair of shoes designed for Kate Middleton

Much as I would like to keep the Royal Wedding off the blog (it’s what low-key Kate and Wills would want, I tell thee) I am going to share news of a purdy cool competition with you.

Since the Manolo extravaganza, I’m more obesssed with a designer shoe than ever. So when I found out that upscale designer Georgina Goodman had been commissioned by the Royal Mint to design a spesh pair of shoes for the nuptials of the century, my fashion antenna went into overdrive.

Georgina does a nice pair of shoes as it is (love her Neve, Issy and classic Claudia designs), and the beauties she has come up with to celebrate the Royal Wedding are deffo to die for – and you can win a pair.

Georgina’s design was inspired by the old wedding rhyme ‘something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a silver sixpence in her shoe’ (I’ll be honest, I’d never heard of the silver sixpence bit). Inspired by that ditty, these lovelies actually include a lucky silver sixpence embedded on the front. Sweet!

Each shoe was hand finished at Georgina’s Mayfair studio, making every pair unique. The body of the shoe is made from Italian suede and handmade lace and the heel is embellished with Swarovski crystals. Wowser.

Only eleven pairs of these beautiful bridal shoes have been produced – nine have been reserved for special competitions and one set sent to our princess-in-waiting.

As for the last remaining pair – you can win ’em. I know there are a fair few brides-in-waiting who read this blog (I’m even tempted for my NEXT wedding vow renewal), so don’t delay – visit the Royal Mint’s competition page, answer the simple question (don’t say pea!) and stick in your deets.

Good luck, ladies, and may Kate’s dress blow us all away in the morning (I’m feeling something underwhelming is coming, but let’s see).
