Eliza Doolittle’s necklace (and 20% off at Anna Lou of London, just for us!)

I’m quite into the lovely Eliza Doolittle. Her style is funky and fresh. And I like that.

She was at the Isle of Wight festival this weekend with Absolute Radio wearing a very purdy white, floral print dress with natty white trainers and a tasty piece of jewellery by Anna Lou of London.

The piece in question is the cute as a (smiley faced) button Happiness necklace (£25), perfect for festivals and wearing with dress-and-trainers combos.

I’ve been interested in Anna Lou’s stuff for quite some time – it started when I interviewed Angie De Napoli for a Guardian podcast in 2008. Angie, head honcho of Ruby Wear, had met Anna Scaife through a project I worked on with The Observer and the two were collaborating on a line. Angie said very fine things about Anna’s designs.

I’ve kept an eye out ever since and, sure enough, the Anna Lou of London label has gone from strength to strength. Absolutely loving the current collection, particularly the bracelets; my faves are the square Royale bracelet, the pink Bird of Paradise bangle and the studded Passionate bracelet, all £35 each.

Definitely an affordable jewellery retailer to keep tabs on.
