The Chevrolet Design Awards at Battersea Power Station

So, last night.

I was down Battersea Power Station (the coolest urban venue ever) for the Chevrolet Design Night. It’s a night celebrating young creatives in the fields of fashion, music, design and film. Of course I was there for the fashion…and to ogle the vintage cars in a stunning setting.

Because I can’t drive, I like cars for purely aesthetic (and stupid) reasons. I like a nice Chevy because it is sooooo All-American – and the Kings of Leon have a song called Camaro (see, stupid).

The vintage Chevrolets looked totes cool outside the power station and my partner in crime Rose and I did not hesitate to have a pose with them. (I’m wearing an outfit put together at eBay’s Fashion Outlet.)

I was also looking forward to a talk by Red or Dead legend Wayne Hemmingway (who is ACES), the fashion awards category, the taste of Prosecco and Elderflower jelly, the sounds of the turn, Bluey Robinson (formerly Billie Jackson on ‘Enders and reminiscent of Roachford) and the chance to make my very own Fashion-Detective-fantasy-mobile….

Ruched jacket Karen Millen, crochet skirt, Biba, wedges, Office, high resin bangles, Jigsaw, all at eBay Fashion Outlet
Lovely Rose
And the lovely Wayne
This was sooooo much fun

If I can have a real one, I *will* learn to drive
The booze jelly!
In a lovely vintage Chevy
Bluey Robinson – and his glasses
Inside – after all these years!
The fashion award: third prize – leather!
Second prize – red rags
And the winner, with her take on the little black dress
