The parrot palm midi dress I’ve started lusting after…

I had to do an emergency shop in Topshop this week. Remember the dress I chose for my interview with Radio 1 Xtra. Well, a funny thing happened…

…the presenter, Gemma Cairney, was wearing the very same frock. What are the blinkin’ chances?

I have a hilarious photo to share of this comedy moment, but I’ll save that until the interview airs (eeep!) on Friday. (I must just add that I saw Nick Grimshaw at the building and he is just as effervescent – and fit – as he is on the telly. Just so you know.)

Anyway, after the matching dress debacle I felt compelled to buy another gown immediately. I went for something much less bold so that if I had another clash that day (not that likely at the TOWIE party) it wouldn’t look as bonkers. I actually bought the dress I’d tipped as a good copy of Louise Thompson’s casino stunner, and it went down a treat – even with the Essex massive.

But if I’d been in my usual “quirky” state of mind, I would have prolly plumped for the stand-out parrot palm midi dress (pictured above) that’s new in store. And I would have teamed it with….

Green shoes – my absolute fave! (Topshop, £46)

Just a cheeky little contrast…I stroked this velvet jaquared bag on Thursday and it is lurvely (Topshop, £28)
