Lush new ready to wear dresses by Mia Jafari
I love an exciting new designer with wearable designs to offer and Mia Jafari is just that.
Jafari has created a gorgeous ready-to-wear SS12 collection called “Waterlilies” – ruffled party dresses, billowing georgette blouses and draped vintage-style gowns. Jafari hand finishes every item, working from an East London studio before collaborating with dressmakers in Iran – and she also teaches dress making skills down the road from me in Clapham, hosting the renowned “Make me a Domestic Sewing Goddess” group.
Although Mia Jafari’s collection has more than just a whiff of spring about it, I’m keeping fingers (and toes) crossed that I’ll be able to rock one of these awesome sauce frocks at a pre-Christmas event. With the right shoes and accessories, I reck they would definitely make the grade as head-turning party wear…

These are gorgeous! Quick question: where are her designs sold and how much are they?
Soz for the delay getting the info! Mia’s dresses are available to order upon request this month (just contact her via her site – link in the post), and everything will be ready to buy on her website and Dia Boutique in Feb 2012. Sample price, the green dress at the bottom of the post is £350.00.
