A Made in Chelsea Cheska fashion secret: Amelia’s Attic

It’s only been up and running for a couple of weeks, but the Fashion Detectives Facebook page is starting to have the desired effect. A steadily rising number of lovely fashion fans are posting questions about style – keep ’em coming. It’s much better to post questions there because a) I constantly forget about emails I’ve read on the move (like a goldfish) and b) there may be other Fashion Detectives around who can help.

This morning, I had a query about a lush leather jacket Made in Chelsea star Cheska Hull is wearing in this Now magazine photo gallery. The jacket led me to discover a very wonderful thing; she got it from the vintage-esque boutique her mummy (Karen) runs in Salcombe Devon – Amelia’s Attic. How cute is that??

As well as Bottletop Bags (as loved by Colin Firth’s missus), cute clutches and jewellery, Amelia’s Attic also has a small but perfectly formed collection of party dresses that all appear to be inspired, chosen or modelled by Cheska. My fave is the 50s-style, extendable (!) Portia dress:

Best of all, Karen has started a little diary – and by the looks of things, she is constantly playing host to the Made in Chelsea gang. If you’re a fan of the show (and can’t wait until it’s back on in the spring), you might wanna get down to Amelia’s Attic for some cheeky dresses – and the inside scoop on the gang.

As Cheska has had a difficult time recently, I also hope Fashion Detective readers will join me in sending her lots of love.
