Pastel nails in ice cream shades

If you tuned-in to my beach post yesterday you might not be surprised to learn that that I’m ignoring today’s climate-change-for-the-worst and sticking with summer mode. I’ve already had my nails painted a pastel shade of purple so it’s tough; it can rain all it wants – I’m officially raiding my spring colour palette.

My nails always reflect the colour scheme I’m into at the mo and as I’m mad on mint, that’s the next shade on my manicure schedule. And there are loads of other ice cream colours from my little stash of polish that I’m tipping for the season too…

This is *the* shade of the season: Essie’s subtle Mint Candy Apple (#99) couldn’t have been more aptly named
Toma’s Pistachio Cream (#306) is a perfect SS12 colour – it makes me crave home-made Italian pistachio ice cream, mmmmmm
Here’s the pale purple shade I’m sporting at the moment – Berry (#308) by Barry M
If you want a little more intensity, Sky Fits Heaven (#611) from L’Oreal’s Colour Riche range is very pretty indeed
And Rimmel London’s pink Urban Princess (#291) is another pale shade with attitude
My classic Chanel shades will have to be applied at some stage this summer; Mimosa and Riva have never been more must-have
And my toes have been treated to this delicious chocolate ice cream shade with purple tones – it’s Essie’s Merino Cool (#76)
