It's been ages since I've been grabbed by a new designer, but this debut capsule collection by Cecilia Lake is certainly doing it for me....
Cecilia's collection has just been shown at Graduate Fashion Week and was inspired by the fascinating (and tragic) 1930s photographer and journalist, Annemarie Schwarzenbach.
Schwarzenbach had a full-on androgynous style that was ahead of its time and Cecilia Lake has mashed up the masculine silhouette with ethnic influences. Don't know about you, but I'm loving the easy, casual effect peppered with feminine touches and the timeless neutral palette; it's super-stylish, ladies.
