Hanging out with the Masked Beatles: Graffiti art on New Oxford Street
I don’t mind telling you guys – I’m knackered. It’s been a helluva day, taking in Ted Baker’s autumn/winter fashion presentation (I have many, many pics and a gorgeous little vid to share with you anon), a Christmas in July event with jewellery, accessories and a nifty bit of family-friendly technology (El is in love), plus a mini photo shoot for my shiny new work website.
I’m going to start at the end: I wanted a boss backdrop for my new homepage image, and when I heard about the stonking graffiti art by Mr Brainwash on New Oxford Street, I knew I had to give that a whirl. It features my most beloved band (The Beatles) y’see – wearing coloured gang masks (!) I didn’t actually plan to do the pics today (if I had, I wouldn’t have worn a dress that blended in so well to the background – I can thank Dolly Dare for that), but we were in the neighbourhood and the had rain stopped for a good ten minutes.
Anyway, the pic we’ve chosen works pretty well, and I’ve got plenty more photographic evidence before someone rips this brill skillz Beatle memento down…
