Ted Baker collection autumn 2012

I promised you more pretty things today and it doesn’t get much better than Ted Baker’s divine autumn/winter 2012 collection. I was at the event with Steph from Style Compare (who has written a fab catwalk report on the Style Platform blog), and a select little group of bloggers.

I didn’t think Ted could top the spring/summer 2012 presentation, but with another atmospheric central London warehouse-style location, banging (and eclectic) tunes from the likes of Calvin Harris, Empire of the Sun, Michael Jackson and The Stone Roses, and a catwalk-presented collection that comprised pistachio faux fur, red velvet and the most beautiful horse print blazer I think I’ve ever seen, I was proper bowled over once again.

If my wee vid has got you in the mood for more forthcoming Ted Baker fashion, check out the tantilising images I took of the AW12/13 “Survival of the Fittest” collection (seriously, you’d better start saving)…

Fittingly the collection got going with statement hats and umbrellas – gotta love that galactic print
A very pretty tea dress with matching umbrella – taking the autumn into spring territory (I like it)
The black bow belt just gives the right amount of seasonal panache
This futuristic print mashes up so many trends
Oh yeah – it’s a man bag!
Matching prints – and a moustache
The intense yellow brings much-needed sunshine (I reckon Ted’s got a bet on an Indian summer)
Cheeky Fair Isle to go with the ‘tache
This jacket cuts the mustard – excellent shape
Another must-have print – the cowl neck rocks too
Ted takes the “boring” out of men’s fashion – the colours are cracking
The boys get dressed up – loving the tweed
Geek chic (told you it was all the rage)
Glamourama : Lots of 20s influence on show
This silver suit must be mine!
Little details like the handerchief and the contrast colour block on the polo make all the difference
The spring-like prints on a black background absolutely pop – this is my kinda winter fashion
Loving the updated ice cream shades too – especially as they are served as faux fur capes
The hats and capes are deliciously post war-esque, with added glam
The hat transforms this gold dress into a vintage tribute
More 40s-derived drama – how lush are the hat and shrug?
The 20s crept onto the catwalk too – this is a thoroughly modern flapper
The shape of this delish lurex evening dress is to die for
Never mind the fashion: It’s the Johnny Depp-a-like!
Here’s one of my highlights
Just love the metallic trousers, green velvet jacket and bow tie
A winter jumpsuit is going to be a staple
Great zip and mesh detail at the back
All the guys went cuckoo for this red velvet jacket – who can blame them?
Why won’t my fella colour coordinate with me?
Again, the colour injection freshens up the smart suit
Here comes my ultimate jacket…
…check out that horse / zebra / space print!
And the horse print maxi dress…. *faints*
And another fave – the embellished grey full length dress with matching faux fur shrug
Such a dreamy dress
Brides take note
Simple and gorgeous
The boys get serious in floral print shirts and leopard print jackets
It’s the finale
All hail the bride and groom
Just married: Stunning detail at the back of the dress
Steph and I recover at the post-show party
