London Fashion Week SS13: Exhibition highlights

On Saturday, I did my bi-annual tour of London Fashion Week’s SS13 Exhibition. I met a couple of fantastic new designers, who I will tell you more about soon in individual posts, but here are just a few, select highlights from the goodies being shown-off at the ever-stylish Somerset House…

Unsurprisingly, JW Anderson gets top billing in the Newgen exhibition space
Shiny shiny
Michael van der Ham *sighs* – you can see why he’s become one of my fave designers
You can count on Sister by Sibling for a funky knit (and plenty of pink)
Feel that texture
Embellishments, bling, hot pink…Sister by Sibling ticks the boxes
Is it me or is there a sexy 60s swagger about this pussybow dress by Peridot?
Are you wowed? This beautiful dress shows off the HUGE SS13 trend for laser cutting – but we fell for all the SS13 designs from Fyodor Golan. Watch this space for much more info about this Israeli/Latvian design duo
And here’s another designer you’ll be hearing much more about from me – Vilshenko. A Russian fashionista, Olga Vilshenko’s designs are all “inspired by Russian heritage and folk craftsmanship”. I desperately want the orange dress in the foreground – so 70s chic it hurts
Say hello to Buba London – beautiful, funky accessories packing a real punch
Statement? Oh yeah
And if you want some serious bling-a-ling…
…you can always count on Mawi
Another brilliant clutch bag brand, featured many times here on Fashion Detective – Wilbur & Gussie
You know, I need a statement clutch for a 60s party I’m throwing later this year…this could be the one!
Well, Fashion Week is nearly over already – but there’s always London Fashion Weekend to look forward to
