Cool & chic cardigans to fend off the cold
TK Maxx, earlier:
Matt: “What have you got there?”
Me: “Some knitwear and an umbrella.”
Matt: “Why d’you need all that, then?”
Me: “Haven’t you seen the weather forecast? It’s going to be freezing over the next few days…and it might snow.”
Matt: “Right. So you think three paper thin cardigans are going to protect you from the Beast from the East?”
This is a typical exchange during shopping trips with one or both of my boys. I pay little attention.
The three wafer thin, cropped cardigans in question are lovely. One loud floral print in pinks and oranges, one grey with a vintage look and lots of sparkly embellishments on the shoulder; and the third is a lovely green with a lace cutout across the top. Yum. Ok, so they won’t provide much in the way of warmth, but it’s better than nothing – and seeing as I’m always late and in a mad rush, the constant kerfuffle I cause my body temperature keeps the frost at bay.
And you can’t beat a cardi in this weather. It allows you to dress up and look chic without freezing your knockers off. I *heart* the multi-coloured skull print knit from missguided (shown above), and here are a few more of my faves if you’re tempted…
