SS13-style January sale pieces

I’m not massively into the January sales; the lure of a cheap, sparkly party dress can be irresistible, but how many times will you realistically wear it in January and February? I’ve got a party to go to tomorrow (the fun never stops) but my one and only sale purchase, made for the occasion, is nothing twinkly: when I January sale shop, I look out for pieces that will work for the season ahead.

So I bought a gorgeous Decoupage shift dress from Ted Baker with a digital floral and butterfly print – 50% off the original price, and really isn’t all that dissimilar to the lovely Lelina printed dress, brand new in the store for SS13. The skirt in the same print as my dress (shown above) is also reduced by 50% – and if you’re feeling a bargainous pre-spring purchase coming on this weekend, here are nine other canny sale pieces that will see you nicely across the seasons…
