Meza Tooting Bec review

What a treat we had today; after months (years?) of pootling past Meza, a tiny Lebanese restaurant spitting distance from Tooting Bec tube station, we finally went in for lunch today…and wow: no wonder the 15-seater, mega-friendly eatery is always packed to the rafters.

Heavenly hummus with fresh parsley and pomegranate seeds, spinach parcels with light as air pastry, falafel (finally!) up to the standard I’ve had in the Middle East, grilled, whole fish with fresh salad and perfectly spiced potatoes, lamb skewers so tender they dissolved on the tongue, sweet (off-menu) delights served with deliciously sweet mint tea and rich Lebanese coffee and the biggest surprise of all, succulent Lebanese red wine.

Will I be going again? Every day if I had my way.

Here’s a wee Instagram gallery to give you the gist…
