El does Marty McFly for Comic Relief

It could be our finest fancy dress moment yet: for Comic Relief, the school is having a 1988 dress-up day and after much fashion detection work (mainly dashing round Debenhams), I managed to get El his ultimate costume: Marty McFly.

It’s most apt for the boy who fell in love with Back to the Future when he was about two years old (seriously) and I think he’s carrying off the 80s cool rather well, don’t you?

Ready to hit 88 miles per hour?

I’ve decided to match the money I spent on the outfit with a donation to the cause – and if that’s made you feel charitable too, perhaps you could pop over to the Red Nose Day website and pledge a little cash.

What would Doc Brown make of this nasal invention?

Marty McFly fans can copy El’s all-kinds-a-cool outfit thus…

Comic Relief Beatles t-shirt, Stella McCartney for TK Maxx (£5.99) and light wash skinny jeans, bluezoo @ Debenhams (£13)

Checked shirt, Rocha.John Rocha @ Debenhams (£17)

Denim jacket, Gap Kids (past season)

Red hi-tops, H&M Kids (£7.99)

Red gilet (or is it a “life preserver”?), J by Jasper Conran @ Debenhams (£26), Marty McFly hair, model’s own

Happy Red Nose Day everybody!
