French food and frocks on the rocks

It may have been a breezy trip to the beach, but I still got chance to wear one of my fave outfits of the summer – and I’m determined to make the mix of sky blue 50s-style dress and yellow Clements Ribeiro cardigan work into the autumn.

El took the photos on the rocky beach at Locquirec on the Northern coast of Brittany where we stuffed our faces with traditional French cuisine during a long and lesirely lunch at Cafe du Port…avec superb white wine. Here’s the evidence…

Smoked salmon with warm crushed potatoes to start

Pollock with a basil and white bean soup base for main

Clafoutis, braised fig, vanilla ice cream and lemon creme – seriously, YUM

All good French meals end like this: the “mini Yorkshire puddings” were dinky canelés (we think). Lunch was 25€ a head for three courses, two glasses of wine and coffee
