Fever London print jersey dress – three ways

No matter how crazy busy I am, I love a dress-related challenge, so when Fever London asked me to choose a dress from its SS14 collection, and style it three ways, I couldn’t possibly refuse…

First up I needed to choose the dress. And it didn’t take me long to fall in love with the Akona jersey pencil dress in the most fabulous tropical print.

I love the fabric, the feel, the colours, the midi length and the ruched detail at the side…everything.

Styling it three ways? Easy! This dress might be a bold print but it is totally versatile and I’ve honestly loved wearing it on three separate occasions (and counting). Although Fever do a great selection of work dresses, I’m totally tempted to wear the dress to the office tomorrow with sandals…but let’s see if the weather holds out (doubtful).

For now, check out my little trio of styling ideas, and if it gives you any Fever-related ideas of your own, take a snap of yourself wearing the brand and enter the #wearingfever competition for a chance to win a £100 voucher.

I first wore the dress when we got a little ray of sunshine a couple of weeks ago. Off to a family BBQ, I went for a spring-friendly (and practical) combo of blue trilby, fluffy powder blue jumper (Topshop) and cherry red Dr Martens

Next up, my son’s birthday disco on Friday. A warm evening, I could lose the layers, but wearing the frock alone doesn’t necessarily mean dressing up: I kept things casual with Nike Air Max in Liberty print (Offspring @ Topshop)

And finally, date night – with a vintage twist. The print lends itself so well to vintage accessories (pearl bando, sheer top and layered pendants) and I reckon it’s “wow factor” enough to warrant an outing with my beloved Manolos – the colours just work so well
