Sixties Sunday – black patent Clarks shoes

Johanna Payton in Paris wearing 60s outfit

Ah, Paris.

Such fun we had, pounding the pavements of Le Marais in search of the perfect backdrop to shoot this week’s Sixties Sunday. (And yes, I do think the fella in the background there may have stepped in a poo-poo – I always bring you real street style.)

It was pretty easy. Everything looks beautiful in Paris – in spite of the freezing temperatures – and thanks to my shiny, new patent shoes, I was fine to wander for miles, sans blisters.

The shoes in question are the Griffin Monty black flats from the current women’s collection at Clarks and they are just so retro.

What’s not to love about a pair of shiny T-bars that have cushion-soft layers underfoot to make them super comfy: just the thing a 60s-lover needs when she is gadding about the French capital in a mini dress, Welsh wool coat and knit mustard tights.

The dress in question is from Beyond Retro and the coat is a find from Boo to a Goose in Crystal Palace.

But the shoes really are are the star here, and I’ll be wearing these babies with a host of 60s fashions through the spring. Bon!
