Fashion en France
|Post window-shopping cocktail|
It’s been a busy old week here in France so far. Am back at base camp now, near Carhaix, but spent the first part of the week in Nantes, where there are many shopping delights.
For example, I got to peek at some lush seasonal accessories by Hermes.
And in the window of the Sonia Rykiel store, this gorgeous, striped dress-coat gave me a taste of the AW11/12 collections to come over here on the Continent.
In the city’s v lovely Victorian shopping arcade, I got to spy on some of the emerging talent this area of Northern France has to offer. In a display of local fashion designers’ work I was loving the simple stripes, monochromes, embellishments and ever-so French chapeaux.
After that very enjoyable fashion-fix, I’m back in the wilds of the country, lounging around the garden in this fabby Kookai dress from eBay’s Fashion Outlet.
Heading back to London (via St Malo and Portsmouth) tomorrow – normal service will be resumed next week!
