Girl Meets Dress meets Caggie Dunlop and Millie Mackintosh

It’s Monday aka Made in Chelsea day! Yippee. And to keep you entertained in the run-up to tonight’s show, I wanted to dedicate a blog post to the girl’s best friend that is Girl Meets Dress

GMD has a simple ethos; borrow, party, return. You get to wear the dream dress you’ve seen on the catwalk, in a high end boutique or on a celeb, without forking out a month’s rent for the privilege. I should so get into doing this because I have next to no space left in my humble abode for garms, and am terrible for only wearing dresses once and then sticking them in the attic, wrapped in plastic. I do love to own a frock, but then the memory of wearing an extra special dress lasts a lifetime anyway.

The Made in Chelsea girls have been making the most of the service already.

In the pic above, where she’s getting ready for the Rainbow Trust Ball, Caggie is wearing the Louise dress by Dina Bar-El. The RRP is £709, but you can swan around in it for two nights for the far more modest sum of £109 (or £119 for a week).

Millie is a huge fan and has borrowed many-a GMD dress to wear during filming for the show. I’ve had several emails about the nude Grecian-style dress Millie wore in the Paris episode.

Mystery solved! Millie was wearing the beautiful Bailey Maxi Dress in blush.

Another popular dress Millie wore came out of the closet when the guys went to Marrakech in Morocco on the November 7th episode.

That dress is the M Missoni halter neck maxi and it’s yours to borrow at Girl Meets Dress.

And we already know Millie is a fan of the signature Hervé Léger bandage dress and this black bandeau number looked great on the show too.

GMD tells me that more of their dresses will be spotted on the show as the series continues – and they have promised to give me the heads-up as soon as those dresses appear. And with Christmas a-coming, could be a good time to get your own party dress sorted out too…
