Kids and Caverns in Liverpool

We survived our first night in Liverpool and, oh, what fun we had. Here’s what we got up to…

Our Base: We’re staying in the ultra-hip Base2Stay Hotel on Seel Street. Our suite is New York cool and you couldn’t have a more central place to stay
Lily explores the computers in the reception area
There is no bar or restaurant here, which keeps the room costs down – our suite has a kitchenette, and you can order continental breakfast packs to be delivered to the room each morning
The kids love the suite; set across two levels it has a loft-style open staircase – and a dressing area with double wardrobe (hellooooo!)
El chills out on the king size bed – we all slept in until gone 9am this morning, which proves how comfy and quiet the suite is
First stop on our night out, Bar Four @ Hard Day’s Night Hotel where we ordered “Ringo’s Drumsticks” – a white chocolate and vanilla vodka concoction served with a Drumstick lolly
Lils chills in Bar Four
Cheers (fab, gear etc)
On to The Cavern: I get cosy with George and a pint of cider and black (class)
The kids pose with the Fab Four
The stage is set
Excited to be here guys?
A slightly cooler look – kids can enjoy the Cavern until a very reasonable 8pm curfew
Yes, we believed it
It’s my fave Beatle tribute act: Jimmy Coburn
It’s always a highlight of a Liverpool trip to see Jimmy
A very special request…
And our wish was granted – thanks, Jimmy!
