Amazing Spider-Man 2 costume for men – or boys
Regular readers already know that that my laddo is a mad keen Superhero fan. His first word was “Superman” (I’m not even kidding) and he has been obsessed with costumes since birth (much like his mother – I love a bit of fancy dress).
Spider-Man is El’s absolute fave.
So to celebrate the UK release of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, we needed a very special costume. When you’re almost 10, seeing the coolest film going in a Spidey suit requires something totally authentic or you might as well not bother: the days of hitting the Odeon in your pyjamas are well and truly over.
El’s a big lad so we chose an adult costume (in medium size, for superheroes 5ft4″ and under) and it fits just fine, with plenty of give for growing boys.
It zips up the back and is an all in one including full head coverage, gloves and boots: this is El’s dream come true, man.
As for the film, it’s awesome (another post will follow concerning Gwen Stacey’s amazing selection of jackets) – action, tears and some really decent baddies. Andrew Garfield is – of course – brillz.
El made quite the impression on his way to and from the cinema, all suited up – even on the bus. El reports that: “the costume is really comfortable, easy to get on and you can see through it – and even drink through it.”
So now you know. And there’s loads of other superhero costumes to browse if your boy (or man…or lady) prefers a different idol.
In some ways, he’s come such a long way from the wee lad who once dressed as the web slinger in New York City, in other ways, he hasn’t changed a jot…
