Festival fashion at Joules

It’s that time of year again…a time I have been turning a blind eye to for the past few years because while many of my friends were away revelling at Glastonbury or the Isle of Wight, I was busy being pregnant and then caring for a baby/toddler/little boy.

Now my “little one” ain’t so little anymore, it’s totally time to get back into the festival saddle – and I might even take my big bundle of joy with me.

Almost as important as which festival we’ll actually go to is the capsule wardrobe I’m going to take with me. I used to have form for going to Reading every year and staying in a hotel, but I’m thinking glamorous yurt and a few awesome pieces that will help me sashay my way through the crowds, whether or not I’ve showered in the morning.

To this end, British brand Joules – which first came into being in the countryside when Tom Joule sold “equestrian clobber” at outdoor events – has kindly provided me with some festival inspiration.

As you can see from the vid above, Joules has a fab range of festival perfect summer dresses along with separates, accessories and clothes for men and kids too.

Here’s my festival wish list from the brand – now all I need is my weekend ticket!

I’m wearing this hot pink dress with white Converse (pink laces) and a white straw trilby (Naomi dress in bright pink – also available in white, £99.95)

A cute tunic is a festival must-have. This bird print version is going to rock with bleached skinnies and navy blue wellies – and a bird print headband to match (Amara sleeveless tunic, £49.95)

Pray for sun and don these floral print shorts with a contrast striped vest and HUGE sunglasses… (Blue bouquet Elspeth print shorts, £44.95)

…and if you want to look like a festival pro, try the shorts with these matching wellies (Molly welly, £36.95)

Always best to be realistic – and this gorgeous mellow yellow rain mac is all kinds of cool. Plus, you can wear it all summer long, whenever a shower is on the cards (Merion coat, £99.95)

Loving the two tone finish of these sunglasses – they’ll go with just anything! A surefire festival essential (Southwold sunglasses, £59.95)
