60s style sunglasses by Taylor Morris
I don’t always love the round-shaped 60s style sunglasses – I’m more inclined towards the 50s cats-eye shape, or the huge make-you-look-like-a-fly oversized sunnies favoured by the Olsen Twins (I have no idea why they always spring to mind when I think of massive celeb-style sunglasses).
But these, I do like. They are the splendid Vivien glasses in black, white and pearl tortoise shell by Taylor Morris Eyewear.
They’re not actually inspired by a 60s icon – they’re inspired by the actress Vivien Leigh. The designers found a 74-year-old pic of Vivien wearing round glasses in an old book about her role in Gone with the Wind, and they were compelled to create their own version.
30s, 40s, 60s, 2015…the shape, size and in-your-face glamour of these glasses will never go out of style.
