Monochrome dress by Madeleine

This year, I’ve gone from hardly ever wearing monochrome to wearing it LOADS.

It is, of course, a sixties fashion staple, but – being a fan of huge colour – I wasn’t much of a B&W girl.

A few key pieces have changed my mind – not least, my can’t-live-without three-quarter-length-sleeved black and white striped top from H&M.

And this, a cute little mocochrome dress from Madeleine.

The dress pretty much speaks for itself (I just couldn’t resist putting the pics through a mono filter – pop, pop, pop!) but you could go “large”, as I have done here, with coloured tights and matching monochrome shoes for extra impact.

On holiday, team with sandals and jet black sunnies; out on the town, a high pair of patent Mary-Janes in ebony will see you right, 60s-style.

Hair – of course – demands to be full volume with a dress like this. Backcomb, pile high and prepare for glamarama…hot lips seal the deal.
